Statement of Intent

For my GCSE Media NEA,  we have been given the task to create a magazine front cover and double page spread for the target audience of 14-18 year olds on the topic of music. After a lengthy time of pondering, I have decided to create a Hip Hop/Rnb based magazine and chosen to name my magazine Stargaze . I have gone with this genre of music because when collecting the results of my survey, I found out that majority of the participants were of the age range and picked the category of Hip Hop/Rnb hence making the decision of basing it around the genre. Here I am going to analyse my findings on how people feel about music as well as their different interests in music. I had decided to ask this question to see what type of music that specific age group are interested as well as their opinions on music. 47% of the people that had answered were 15 years which means that my main target audience will be 15 year olds. The age rage was from 14 to 21. Question 2: How often do you listen to music? More than 94% of the people answering my survey said that they listen to music on a daily basis whereas one person said that they listen to music weekly.
